A certified true copy is a photocopy someone official can vouch for
When a foreign university, embassy, bank or employer asks for a “certified true copy”, they’re not asking for a photocopy from the office printer. They want proof, from an authorised person who has seen your original, that the copy is a genuine, unaltered reproduction — stamped, signed and, where required, sealed.
Anyone can make one. A bank or embassy overseas has no way to trust it — so it’s rejected.
Our notary sights the original, then stamps, signs & seals the copy — trusted and accepted abroad.

Notary Public or Commissioner for Oaths for your true copy?
This one detail decides whether your copy is accepted. Get it wrong and you pay twice. Tell us where the copy is going and we’ll confirm in seconds — we hold both appointments.
π Going overseas → Notary Public
- Certified by an appointed Notary Public with a notarial certificate.
- Authenticated / apostilled by the Singapore Academy of Law (SAL).
- Recognised by foreign banks, universities, courts and authorities.
πΈπ¬ Staying in Singapore → Commissioner for Oaths
- A Commissioner for Oaths can certify copies for local use.
- Cheaper and simpler — no SAL apostille needed.
- Not accepted overseas, so only for Singapore recipients.
Your certified true copy in four simple steps
The good news for busy Singaporeans: for true copies, the notary only has to sight your originals — so you often don’t need to attend in person at all.
Send & pre-check
WhatsApp photos of your documents. We confirm seal-or-no-seal & a fixed cost.
We sight originals
Visit us, drop off, courier, or we collect — the notary checks the originals.
Certify & seal
Stamp, signature, seal & notarial certificate applied to the copies.
Apostille & deliver
SAL apostille for overseas use, then couriered back to you.
You often don’t even need to come in
This surprises most people. Because a certified true copy only requires the notary to see the original document — not to witness you signing anything — you have options that fit a busy Singapore schedule:
- Drop off your originals at our Suntec City office and collect later.
- Courier your originals to us; we certify and courier everything back.
- We collect from your home or office anywhere in Singapore.
- Digital documents — forward the original PDF or e-statement and we verify the source.
(For “authority” documents like a Power of Attorney, identity checks may apply — we’ll tell you upfront.)
What to have ready
- The original document(s) — not a copy of a copy.
- The recipient’s instructions — do they want a seal? how many copies?
- Your photo ID for authority documents, just in case.
- Laminated original? Ask the issuer for a fresh copy first — we’ll advise.
Certifying several documents? You may not need a certificate for each
Here’s something many people (and even some notaries) don’t mention: where the receiving party allows it, multiple certified true copies can be bundled under one notarial certificate — so you pay the S$75 certificate and S$87.20 SAL fee once, not for every document.
One certificate, many copies
We bundle your true copies where the recipient permits — a real saving on multi-document jobs.
We check the requirement
Some recipients insist on a separate certificate per document. We confirm before you commit.
Lowest correct cost
You always pay the least the rules allow — never a document more than you need.
Why certified true copies get rejected — and how we prevent it
Almost every rejection we’ve seen comes down to one of these. A quick WhatsApp with us catches them before you pay.
What our certified true copy service gives you
The notarial fee is fixed by law — identical everywhere. The difference is the advice, convenience and speed around it.

Why our certified copies are trusted here and abroad
Certified true copies, sorted the easy way
Rated 4.9/5 by 180+ clients across Google and WhatsApp.
Needed certified true copies of my degree and transcripts for a job in Australia. They told me on WhatsApp exactly how many copies and that a seal was needed, bundled them under one certificate to save cost, and had it apostilled in two days. Effortless.
Couriered my passport and marriage certificate over — didn’t even have to leave the house. Certified, apostilled and back to me in days. Exactly what I needed for my spouse visa.
Certified our full ACRA business profile and constitution for an overseas tender. Fast, correct, and they explained the bundling so we didn’t overpay. Our go-to for corporate documents now.
Everything Singaporeans ask before certifying
It’s a photocopy of an original document that an authorised person — a Notary Public or Commissioner for Oaths — has compared against the original and certified, with their stamp and signature, as a genuine and accurate copy. That certification is what makes it trusted by banks, universities, employers and authorities, unlike a plain photocopy.
Certifying a copy is a regulated fee — from S$5 for the first page where no seal is needed, or from S$10 where a seal is required, plus a small per-page charge. For overseas use, add a S$75 notarial certificate and the S$87.20 SAL apostille, so a single passport copy is typically from about S$172.20 all-in. Certifying several documents together is usually cheaper because they can often share one notarial certificate.
Usually not. Because the notary only needs to sight the original document (not witness you signing), you can drop off or courier your originals, or we can collect from you. We certify the copies and courier everything back. Identity documents used as “authority” documents may be an exception — we’ll tell you upfront.
Almost anything with an original: passports, NRIC, degrees, transcripts, birth and marriage certificates, ACRA business profiles, driving licences, bank statements and more. We also certify digital documents such as PDFs and e-statements after verifying their source.
For documents used overseas, an appointed Notary Public — whose certificate is then authenticated by the Singapore Academy of Law. For documents used only within Singapore, a Commissioner for Oaths is usually enough. We hold both appointments, so we can advise and do either.
Yes. For a digital document, forward us the original, unmodified PDF (or the original email with its source intact) and, where needed, show us how it was downloaded from the official source. Once we’ve verified its origin, we can certify a true copy — something many providers won’t do.
It depends entirely on the party receiving it. Some overseas banks and authorities insist on a seal; others don’t. Check their instructions, or send them to us — we’ll confirm before certifying so it isn’t rejected.
Often just one. Where the recipient allows it, several certified true copies can be bundled under a single notarial certificate, which lowers your cost. Some recipients require a separate certificate per document. Tell us where the copies are going and we’ll work out the least you need to pay.
You can visit our Suntec City CBD office, drop off or courier your originals, or ask us to collect from your home or office anywhere in Singapore. So wherever you are on the island, a certified true copy is easy to arrange — often without a trip.
Yes, in many cases. If we have your originals and know the requirements, certifying is quick, and we can fast-track the SAL apostille. WhatsApp us your deadline and we’ll tell you honestly what’s possible.
