LegalTerms & Conditions
The terms that govern your use of our website and the notarial services provided by Notary Public Services.sg. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of terms
By using our website, contacting us, or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services. These terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
2. Our services
We provide notary public and commissioner for oaths services in Singapore, including witnessing signatures, certifying true copies, administering oaths and statutory declarations, issuing notarial certificates, and arranging SAL authentication, apostille, embassy legalisation, translation and delivery where requested.
Our role is to provide notarial and related services. We do not provide legal advice on the content, validity or effect of your documents, and nothing on this website constitutes legal advice.
3. Appointments & identity
Notarisation is an identity-based act. You must attend in person for services that require witnessing your signature, and present valid original identification (passport or NRIC). Documents to be signed must generally remain unsigned until witnessed by the notary. Certified true copies require the original documents to be sighted by the notary.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- Providing accurate, complete information and genuine, unaltered documents.
- Confirming your destination country's exact requirements where you have specific instructions.
- Bringing the correct originals, copies and identification to your appointment.
- Ensuring you understand any document before you sign it; we will not proceed if you do not.
We may decline to notarise where we are not satisfied as to identity, capacity, authority, or the lawfulness of the request.
5. Fees & payment
Notarial fees are fixed by the First Schedule of the Notaries Public Rules and cannot be discounted. Statutory charges (such as the SAL apostille) and third-party costs (such as MFA and embassy legalisation, translation, courier and mobile attendance) are charged at cost and quoted separately. We provide an all-in quote before work begins; payment is due as agreed at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.
6. Turnaround times
Notarisation is often completed on the same day. Timelines for SAL authentication, apostille, embassy legalisation and translation depend on those third parties and are outside our control. Any timeframe we give is a good-faith estimate and not a guarantee, and we are not liable for delays caused by third parties or by incomplete or incorrect information provided by you.
7. Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let us know as early as possible. Fees for work already carried out (including third-party charges already incurred on your behalf) may not be refundable. Mobile visit attendance fees may apply where the notary has already travelled or scheduled a visit.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from or in connection with our services is limited to the fees paid by you for the specific service concerned. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for any rejection of a document by a foreign authority where that rejection arises from requirements or decisions outside our control, or from information you provided.
9. Confidentiality
We treat your documents and information as confidential and handle them in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. We disclose information only where necessary to provide your service (for example to the SAL, MFA or embassies) or where required by law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts. We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time; the current version will always appear on this page. If you have any questions, contact us at info@notarypublicservices.sg or WhatsApp +65 3129 4104.
These Terms & Conditions are provided for general information and do not constitute legal advice.
